Shop Assistant
Location: Aigburth, Liverpool
Hours: 5 days per week, around 40 hours, alternate weekends, additional holiday cover when needed.
Pay (hourly):
21+ – £13.10
18-20 – £11.20
16-17 – £9.00
About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly Shop Assistant to join our team at Aigburth Garden Centre. With a passion for plants and gardening you will be working our plant and garden sundries deliveries to the plant area and garden shop, setting up displays, giving advice and maintaining a pleasant department. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service, confidently handling queries and resolving issues.
Maintain standards of given area (cleanliness, presentation, POS materials, leaflets/offers).
Replenishment and maintenance of stock in an efficient, effective and accurate manner both in store and on the plant area, including working in all weather types.
Supporting the team with general store duties when required.
This role involves the movement of heavy items for display and customer assistance.
About You
Naturally customer-focused, commercially aware, and results-driven.
A proactive learner with strong communication and people skills.
Flexible availability, including alternate weekends.
Experience in a similar retail role, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
